Do you track KPI's?

Its important in any business to track progress on your annual business plan. The question is? Do you track your top line performance or root activities that lead to performance? Most businesses do the the first but businesses successful in year over year exponential growth do the later as well. The first thing to do is to decide what are my KPI's (KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS). These are the key activities that lead to results like outbound calls, referral generating activities, key meetings, incoming calls generated by marketing events run or attended etc? Once you build your list you need to break down the numbers either up or down daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually and track your progress in those same intervals. Take pride in success of these goals because if they cause you to increase daily activities then your gross profits will grow exponentially as well.
